so, i've just been checking out the moon signs of some of my favorite artists,
musicians, etc. and it looks to me (from lists i've run across) like a lot of what
i like is done by scorpio moon people, esp a lot of movie directors:

francis ford coppola - apocalypse now, godfather etc
hitchcock - psycho etc
kubrick - clockwork orange etc
almodovar - bad education etc
also charlie chaplin, warren beatty and steven spielberg
are award winning directors with scorpio moon.

maybe something about their ability to understand, penetrate,
and communicate the intricacy of emotion? and something about
the ability to focus and communicate visually...?? anyone here ever
notice this before, or am i just now seeing something that is common

Ok so... long story short:

I'm a leo with moon conjunct venus in cancer and mars in aries.

He's a taurus with moon conjunct pluto in scorpio and mars in gemini.

WHEW!

After reading that whole epic thread about Miki's problems with her scorpio moon, I decided to ask some questions of my own.

It's become very clear that I can't push a scorpio moon into anything and I can't be too clingy, (which is of course very hard for a cancer moon!). However, I'm also under the impression that you have to prove your loyalty and trustworthiness to a scorpio moon. I'm very careful about not rejecting him or doing anything that would count as betrayal in any way. By doing this, I feel like I've become too accessible to him and no longer aloof enough to keep his interest. Where is the perfect balance???? I truly feel like I'm walking on eggshells around him. If he asks me to do something and I don't immediately say "yes" he quickly changes his mind, assuming that I'm about to say "no". But, naturally, he has no qualms with being unresponsive towards me.

It's all very confusing! I feel like he always wants something intense from me, but when I try to go there, he closes himself off right away. I fear bringing up emotions with him because he's so distant and stand-offish. I have NO IDEA how he feels about me, and being the cancer moon that I am, it drives me insane.

A very bothersome thing -- when we first started hanging out (he initiated) things were intense for a good couple of weeks. He was always asking me to come over and responding when I contacted him. Then all of the sudden, a switch was flipped, and he fell out of communication for a good two weeks. Then gradually, over the span of a month or so, he's been letting me back in. But soooo slowly and with such a cold air about him, and things have definitely not returned to as they were before.

Right now I'm trying to decide what to do. Obviously this is not a comfortable situation for an insecure cancer moon like myself. I don't mind being patient and doing things his way if he needs to get a better feel for me or whatever before he decides to ease up some more, but I do not want to be expending all this emotional energy towards someone who really just isn't interested or is just using me in some way. But because it's so hard getting him to be straight-forward with his emotions without sending him running, I've got quite a tricky situation on my hands.

I would love to hear some insights into any of this! Merci en avance!

The Scorpio Moon personality is divided into two specific personality types. The First one, is the Ambitious type, who devotes their energies toward rising up in the world of professional prestige... The another one, Passionate type, who derives a large part of their fulfillment in life through love relationships, close friendships, happy, stable marriages, nurturing their families. Both types are private, secretive and dominant. they fall into the role of relationship manager very easily usually, voluntarily. Which personality type fits you best?

that occasionally, i have very vivid dreams that are so realistic that when i wake up, it makes me feel as if i had been awake the whole time.
Further, in my dreams, I'm able to achieve whatever I was hoping to do, and I can be anything I want... to my heart's content. I don't carry around a heart of hatred or jealousy or intense emotional need (in all seriousness, it's not repression because i've got nothing to repress), because if i do repress something, it somehow gets "taken care of" in my dreams... leaving me very refreshed when i wake up.

it's as if i live in two different worlds; one on earth, and another in a place like earth but quite different than earth.
I feel as if whatever my moon wants to repress, the pluto bring with it, its power to make it real in my dream world (12th house)... because face it, although the 12th house represents the "secretiveness" the side we can't see, it also represents dreams and a world that's not present on this plane, doesn't it (well, pisces does, i think...)? I feel as if the placement makes this experience very real, allowing us to be something that we cannot or refuse to be on this place.

it may have to do with the fact that i don't really have many harmonic aspects to this aspect which would make it easier for me to deal with it on a daily basis... it allows me to be a friendly aquarius on earth, and a scorpio in my dreams.

I was wondering, does anyone else have this experience, or am i just completely on a tangent here?

I googled some basic how-to-read-transits and I've come up with nil, probably because I didn't get the right key word search terms.

The following is from a post in the 12th House Tribe
Posting here due to similarity with the Scorpio Moon and childhood abuse by ANA.
The combination is rather grim. I would like others reaction on their experiences.

My Scorpio Moon is in the 12th House, and I assume there are others present in the Scorpio Moon Tribe.

Reading from Tracy Marks, _"Your Secret Self': Illuminating the mysteries of the Twelfth House"_.

Your twelfth house moon suggests that you are a private person, hesitant to reveal your feelings and needs. Often, fearful of your vulnerability, you block awareness of your feelings; you seek refuge from your inner world in habitual activities which you may perform in an automatic manner. Contacting your hidden emotional self may be difficult for you, because you have developed a lifetime of defenses against primitive levels of need and dependency which frighten you. You may feel intense shame in regard to the child-self which is buried within you.

Repressed for a long time, your sadness and longing may sometimes burst forth as infantile tears, which seem regressive and inappropriate. Like Alice in Wonderland drowning in the flood of her tears, you feel overwhelmed, and seek to squelch future displays of feeling. "Be strong;don't cry" may be your motto. You are afraid not only of drowning in your feelings and your needs, but also of revealing your vulnerability to others, then being rejected or abandoned.

Perhaps because of traumatic experiences as a child, in which you experienced unbearable helplessness, need, and dependency in relationship to a parent who could not sensitively respond, you learned to turn to yourself early in life and to establish your self-sufficiency. "I must do it alone; I don't need anyone," you decided, as you withheld yourself emotionally in relationships, and learned how to engage with people without full involvement. Emotionally self-contained and insulated, you became a capable survivor, and learned how to effectively play the roles required of you. But often, as a result of your repression, you feel empty and depleted, out of contact with your source of inner sustenance.

If your moon is deeply buried, you may struggle against fear of the primitive infant locked within you, and against a desire to return to the womb or to escape into fantasies of total nurturance. Fearful of your passivity and your desire for motherly love, you compensate through cultivating your adult competencies and by becoming a caregiver. But although you are independent in the external world, you hold onto your established patterns of behavior and to whatever internal sources of security you have developed.

Forced to turn to yourself early in life, you learned how to take care of yourself, and how to substitute behaviors and activities for the nurturing from others you did not receive. You may as a result be compulsive about your self-caretaking rituals, particularly in regard to food. Tendencies toward anorexia, adherence to strict diets, preoccupation with cooking, and fear of eating in restaurants are all manifestations of a twelfth house moon. Sometimes, you become ill as a means of resting from the demands of your adult self, and in order to allow yourself to receive the caretaking that you seek.

Your twelfth house moon suggests that you never felt allowed to be a child. Perhaps your mother was emotionally a child herself, and wanted you to cater to her needs rather than become capable of responding to yours. She may have been deeply troubled, psychologically or physically unavailable; she may have sacrificed herself to involvements in the outer world at the expense of her family life. Whatever your situation, her negative responses to your needs and feelings, and her messages of "don't cry" "be strong" or "do it yourself" led you to believe that you had no right to have feelings. The hurt or trauma you experienced then may have resulted in a deep-seated decision never to make yourself vulnerable again. "I'd rather die than need you," you may have inwardly said to your mother, "because if I need you I will have to bear the intolerable pain of your failure to meet my needs." As you grew older, fearing the re-stimulation and opening of earlier wounds, you may have said to yourself, " I will not be dependent upon anyone ever again."

Often a twelfth house moon signifies a failure in the early attachment bond with the mother, although a deep inner bond with her exists. Such a bond ( accompanied by idealization) persists in part because you need to hold on to her psychically, as a result of not having received adequate nurturing. Frequently, a twelfth house moon suggests problems in the oral or suckling stage or lack of adequate physical nurturance. If your mother was unable to rspond to your nonverbal (and verbal) signals, you learned to distrust closeness to other persons, and failed to develop a healthy degree of trust.

Because of childhood trauma, you may have repressed your early experiences, and remember little of your family life; you may also have developed a lifestyle which involves minimal family contact. Perhaps because you neer had a secure home, or because you fear experiencing your need for a home and family life, you may avoid creating a home that could be truly nurturing for you. Sometimes, people who have Twelfth house moons never develop roots anywhere; they move frequently, unable to settle down, afraid of sinking into the feelings and needswhich they associate with attachment to home and family.

Another influence of a twelfth house moon is confusion in regard to female identity and to relationships with woman. Lacking an adequate female role model, you may have distorted ideas about womanhood and motherhood. If you are female, you may be insecure about your identity as a woman, and inclined to equate female role behavior with self-sacrifice; you might then, in reaction, reject the traditionally feminine, and seek refuge in "male" values. Sometimes, woman with twelfth house moons deny the desire for motherhood; or, in contrast, allow themselves to become pregnant in order to recreate them mother/infant bond.

If you are male, you may feel insecure about the hidden female within you, which at times feels like overwhelming need and passivity. You may devalue the "feminine" realms of life, while simultaneously idealizing women, falling in love with inner images and fantasies, yearning for the perfect woman/mother/mate, or attracting clinging, dependent women who force you to make contact with the energies you project.
To the extent to which you fear your vulnerability and hunger for nurturance, you attract people who need you and become dependent upon you. Fleeing from relationships which awaken your own need, you are nevertheless quite capable of responding to need in others. In fact, you may even respond with a sensitivity and sympathy which you are incapable of giving to yourself. Psychically sensitive to others, you are attuned to their feelings and intuitively know what to say and do.

Because you are a natural caretaker, you are probably drawn to work in the service professions, where you can meet the needs of wounded or troubled humanity. Identifying with the troubled, ill or weak, you demonstrate your talent as a nurse, healer, or counselor. Having sacrificed your personal mother to the world, you may also sacrifice your personal mothering needs in order to mother humanity as a whole. You seek to give to others what you always wanted to receive. Such giving may not fill the empty space within you, but it does provide vicarious satisfaction and the experience of having made a significant social contribution.

Another advantage of your twelfth house moon is your keen intuition an innate spirituality. Because of your sensitivity, you need to spend a considerable amount of time alone, reflecting upon aspects of your personal life which you do not share with others, and clearing yourself of the psychic overload you have accumulated as a result of too much contact. Your solitude may also be important to you because it helps you to regain contact with yourself, to connect with your feeling nature, and through meditation, music, or other pursuits, to let go of the walls you have created and surrender to forces greater than yourself.

Because you have preserved your true child self deep within you, in a form that is largely untouched by the world, you are capable of contacting and drawing from rich sources of inner nourishment which reside with that child. Because its boundaries are thin, it is capable of openness to spiritual realms. The more you are able to honor that archaic child within you, the more you will become attuned to your divine nature and be able to enrich yourself with the openness to higher energies which it can offer you.

You need to contact, accept, and embrace the child within you, to tolerate its terror of abandonment and its primitive feelings and needs, and to learn to soothe and reassure it. Feeling-oriented therapy, re-birthing, self-psychology, primal therapy, and past-lives therapy all may facilitate this process. As you begin to acknowledge and honor your inner child, you may also choose to create for yourself a home which is truly nourishing, and which helps you to feel warm, safe, and emotionally secure. Once you begin to hear, accept, and meet the real needs of your inner child, you will experience a sense of realness and wholeness which previously was inaccessible to you; you will also be able to give to others more effectively, to meet their real needs, rather than vicariously using them

These people can be a "wellspring" to others once they have gained their trust and choose to open up their resevoir, but not until then. They can also "boil and bubble" like a geiser when they are heated in their emotions, so watch out how you try them!

When a Scorpio moon has evolved, they can exhibit an incredible amount of depth, and empathy to those who are suffering emotionally and truly be a healing balm for those who are deeply troubled. Their emotional understanding is also psychic, and can reach out and touch another without words, but have an incredible impact. When they don't get passed their own issues, and harbor deeply held resentments, resisting healing and transformation, then they become susceptible to illness due to these internalized emotional "poisons."

I've been thinking a lot about my scorpio moon latley. The other day I got a chinese astrology book that talks about eastern and weastern combinations. I'm a water monkey and since I identify with my moon, I read the description for scorpio instead of Aries. It said that the worst qualities scorpio will be brought out when the monkey is thrown into the mix. This is becuase the monkey is a trickster and scorpio is very serious.

I wanted to know if you have any conflicting elements between your eastern and western zodiac sign.

Here are the chinese astrology animals and their western equivilants:

Rat: Sagittarius
Ox: Capercorn
Tiger: Aquarius
Rabit: Pisces
Dragon: Aries
Snake: Taurus
Horse: Gemini
Sheep: Cancer
Monkey: Leo
Rooster: Virgo
Dog: Libra
Pig: Scorpio

Incase your not too familiar with what your chinese sign says about you, I've included descriptions of each sign. Do you think that western astrology is more accurate?

RAT:
Being the first sign of the Chinese zodiac, rats are leaders, pioneers and conquerors. They are charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hardworking. Rat people are endowed with great leadership skills and are the most highly organized, meticulous, and systematic of the twelve signs. Intelligent and cunning at the same time, rats are highly ambitious and strong-willed people who are keen and unapologetic promoters of their own agendas, which often include money and power. They are energetic and versatile and can usually find their way around obstacles, and adapt to various environments easily. A rat's natural charm and sharp demeanor make it an appealing friend for almost anyone, but rats are usually highly exclusive and selective when choosing friends and so often have only a few very close friends whom they trust.

Behind the smiles and charm, rats can be terribly obstinate and controlling, insisting on having things their way no matter what the cost. These people tend to have immense control of their emotions, which they may use as a tool to manipulate and exploit others, both emotionally and mentally. Rats are masters of mind games and can be very dangerous, calculative and downright cruel if the need arises. Quick-tempered and aggressive, they will not think twice about exacting revenge on those that hurt them in any way. Rats need to learn to relax sometimes, as they can be quite obsessed with detail, intolerant and strict, demanding order, obedience, and perfection.

A valuable lesson for Rats is to learn to consider others before themselves, at least sometimes, and to avoid forcing their ideas onto others. Rats are fair in their dealings and expect the same from others in return, and can be deeply affronted if they feel they have been deceived or that their trust has been abused. Sometimes they set their targets too high, whether in relation to their friends or in their career. But as the years pass, they will become more idealistic and tolerant. If they can develop their sense of self and realize it leaves room for others in their life as well, Rats can find true happiness.

According to tradition, Rats often carry heavy karma and at some point in life may face an identity crisis or some kind of feeling of guilt. Rats are said to often have to work very long and hard for everything they may earn or have in life. However, a Rat born during the day is said to have things a bit easier than those who are born at night. Traditionally, Rats born during the night may face extreme hardships and suffering throughout life. Rats in general should guard themselves against hedonism and nostalgia, as it may lead to self-destruction. Gambling, alcohol and drugs tend to be great temptations to Rat natives.

Traditionally, Rats should avoid Horses, but they can usually find their best friends and love interests in Monkeys, Dragons, and Oxen.

Professions include espionage, psychiatry, psychology, writing, politics, law, engineering, accounting, detective work, acting, and pathology.

OX:
The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. This powerful sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things. As one might guess, such people are dependable, calm, and modest. Like their animal namesake, the Ox is unswervingly patient, tireless in their work, and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint.

Ox people need peace and quiet to work through their ideas, and when they have set their mind on something it is hard for them to be convinced otherwise. An Ox person has a very logical mind and is extremely systematic in whatever they do, even without imagination. These people speak little but are extremely intelligent. When necessary, they are articulate and eloquent.

People born under the influence of the Ox are kind, caring souls, logical, positive, filled with common sense and with their feet firmly planted on the ground. Security is their main preoccupation in life, and they are prepared to toil long and hard in order to provide a warm, comfortable and stable nest for themselves and their families. Strong-minded, stubborn, individualistic, the majority are highly intelligent individuals who don't take kindly to being told what to do.

The Ox works hard, patiently, and methodically, with original intelligence and reflective thought. These people enjoy helping others. Behind this tenacious, laboring, and self-sacrificing exterior lies an active mind.

The Ox is not extravagant, and the thought of living off credit cards or being in debt makes them nervous. The possibility of taking a serious risk could cause the Ox sleepless nights.

Ox people are truthful and sincere, and the idea of wheeling and dealing in a competitive world is distasteful to them. They are rarely driven by the prospect of financial gain. These people are always welcome because of their honesty and patience. They have many friends, who appreciate the fact that the Ox people are wary of new trends, although every now and then they can be encouraged to try something new.

It is important to remember that the Ox people are sociable and relaxed when they feel secure, but occasionally a dark cloud looms over such people and they engage all the trials of the whole world and seek solutions for them.

Tiger:
Tiger people are difficult to resist, for they are magnetic characters and their natural air of authority confers a certain prestige on them. They are tempestuous yet calm, warm-hearted yet fearsome, courageous in the face of danger yet yielding, soft and mysterious in unexpected places. They enjoy a life full of challenges and unexpected events, like visiting unusual places and meeting interesting or outstanding people. Other people in their area are easily attracted by the tiger's enthusiasm and way of life. Tigers find pleasure in the unpredictable, and while other people would rather make a backward step, they are not afraid to explore the new and unusual. But it is not that simple to interest the Tiger. What they really need is first-hand experience. Usually open and frank, these people are likely to withdraw and can be aggressive when trapped. As soon as the Tiger has regained their sense of security their confidence also returns, enabling them to set out once more. These people usually tend to trust their instincts, though there is another side of their personality, which assesses situations thoughtfully before they launch any actions. Their friends usually secretly admire their determination and optimism, though sometimes may find it complicated to share the Tiger's enthusiasm and can be pushed away and left behind. Although Tigers can be courageous and generous friends, if they are not able to achieve what they want, they can be inflexible and self-centered. So if your friend was born in the year of the Tiger, there will be highs and lows in your friendship, but the friendship itself will remain firm.

Ideal jobs for tigers include entrepreneur, military officer, politician, musician, writer, poet, artist, theater director, biological and environmental engineer, stockbroker, athlete, film star, trade union leader, company director, stunt person, explorer, and lawyer.

RABIT:
Those following traditional Chinese astrology consider people born in the Year of the Rabbit to make ideal diplomats or politicians. In Chinese astrological thought, a "rabbit person" is graceful, cultured and well-mannered. Although Rabbit people get along well with many people, at heart they are considered to be basically reserved creatures, and are only truly happy when engrossed in some sort of scholarly or intellectual activity. Rabbit people are considered too sensitive for the world around them; they are not able to thrive in competitive or aggressive environments, and are anxious when others force them to take risks. Their inner world is considered too delicate for unsettled or unpredictable situations, and they tend to create peaceful and comfortable atmospheres--like rabbit dens--instinctively. According to traditional Chinese astrology, this characteristic makes them very hospitable and attentive people, who take care of those around them.

The average Rabbit person emphasizes the importance of small details. They pay attention to everything from color, design and furniture to food and conversation. And only when they are sure that everything has been arranged as they wish can these people relax and have fun.

People born in the year of the Rabbit often lead a conservative lifestyle where one of the most important things is their security. This quality has a negative side also: opting for safety over risk, they may miss good opportunities. These people are not frivolous or irresponsible, for when they truly believe in something, they are serious, persevering and capable.

Calm as they are, it is not easy to provoke Rabbit people. They are sentimental and compassionate. They can be moved by the personal problems you share with them.

DRAGON:
The Dragon is omnipotent. He/she is flamboyant, attractive and full of vitality and strength. In China, the Dragon is the sign of the Emperor of China or the male element Yang. The Dragon is the symbol of power and wealth.

It would be right to say that people born in the year of the dragon have a natural charisma and are certainly gifted with power and luck. It is unlikely for them to escape unnoticed from a party or to take second place in a competition. The dragon person has an active mind and shows an unfeigned interest in the world around him/her. This person is also self-confident enough to know how to create a necessary impression. Because they are larger than life themselves, dragon people like to do everything on a grand scale. They are egotistical self-grandising and ambitious, almost to the point of megalomania. They will stop at nothing to get what they want. A person born in this year wears the crown of destiny, and is capable of great achievements if he or she knows how to harness his or her tremendous energy, intelligence and talent. While these people enjoy being the center of attention, they also have a brave and charitable side to their personality. If a dragon's friend faces a problem or dilemma, he or she will be there to offer help, and when others leave the field of battle the dragon takes a step forward to solve the problem with authority and dignity. Dragons set a high standard of actions for themselves as well as for other people and are surprised when others cannot cope with a task; they are so carried away by the process that they fail to see other people's weaknesses.

Ideal jobs for dragons include kings, military officer, politician, musician, buffers, poet, artist, biological and environmental engineer, stockbroker, athlete, trade union leader, company director, explorer, and attorney.

The Dragon is most compatible with the Rat, Monkey, Snake and Rooster.

SNAKE:
The person born in the year of snake is the wisest and most enchanting of all. He or she can become an Ambassador, a Mediator, a restaurant owner or a talented musician. Such a person is a thinker who also likes to live well; affluence. The snake-person loves books, music, clothes, fine food and wine; but with all their fondness for the finer things in life, their innate grace and elegance gives them a dislike for frivolities, small minds and foolish talk.

Snake-persons like communicating and like interesting and challenging conversations; if the conversation becomes repetitive their attention may soon wander. It is almost impossible to fix their attention for long talking about mundane everyday habits as they prefer to focus on new, interesting and evolutionary ideas in general. The snake needs mental exercise in a conversation or relationship.

In relationships he or she is very careful in choosing a partner; only the best will do for the snake. Snake people are passionate lovers. They are also reputed to have roving eyes, however, this is a false reputation which they have acquired because they are always sensual about anything they undertake. He or she may exhibit the same fervent ardor in chasing a much-coveted business deal as in winning the affections of his or her latest heart throb.

These people have a special talent that enables them to judge situations correctly. They are alert to new possibilities: when they have an idea of what to do and how to do it, they will pursue it persistently and energetically. The snake is at home in any social situation, able to adapt and converse on all levels. In Chinese astrology it is believed that they are self-confident, driven, focused and willing to listen to someone else's opinion, but don't necessarily take it 'on board'. Refusing to listen to constructive advice; intelligent and headstrong, they may be prone to getting into needless trouble.

Although it is difficult for such people to take advice, they are patient and compassionate with others when it comes to giving a helping hand, and their ability to look at a problem from a variety of angles is extremely useful. When faced with a dilemma, snake people, as a rule, act with speed and conviction, since they believe intensely in what they are doing and rarely waste time or energy on projects lacking in good potential.

In times of confusion and trouble, the Snake person is a pillar of strength because he maintains his presence of mind. The Snake can deal with bad news and misfortune with great aplomb. He has a profound sense of responsibility and an unsinkable constancy of purpose. It will be this constancy of purpose coupled with his natural hypnotic charisma that could carry him to the highest realms of power.

HORSE:
The horse personality is often willing to give as well as expect a lot of liberty. These people are extremely independent and confident. The horse person is very quick-witted, inquisitive and determined. They are very good at recognizing patterns: she or he is on to the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it. In general, these people are gifted. They adore being the center of everyone's attention, but they prefer to be recognized for their skills and are easily flattered. On the other hand these people have an honesty and genuine warmth which attracts lots of people and helps them make new friends. People as a rule confide in a horse person because he/she is sincerely interested in their thoughts and feelings and is able to help with both wise words and an action, but there is a small problem about it - the horse person is so excited by new discoveries that it is difficult for them to keep a secret. This is not something that arises out of malice or revenge - sometimes they just cannot help themselves.

It is easy to inspire such a person by new ideas and he/she tends to act on them without delay, carried away by the excitement of the moment. But it is also important to remember that there is a danger for a horse person to be too impulsive and it may cause some problems in the future. And if they do not see the result of their efforts, it is rather natural for them to turn their attention to a new project and head off once again, brimming with new ideas. The horse person is always ready to offer good advice and can be very persuasive, but his/her confident and carefree approach hides inner doubts. Those who know such a person will recognize this, and offer the support and reassurance he/she needs.

Horses should beware of the Rat, as any relationship with this sign is said to be extremely trying for the horse. Of all relationships between Chinese zodiac signs, a relationship between a rat and a horse is said to be the worst. The rat may just be too calculating, dictatorial and possessive for the free-spirited and independent horse. A relationship with a rat can potentially break down the horse's free-spirit and cause rage in the rat - as neither will be willing to yield to the other. Rats and Horses will attract each other like no other. Male Horses, especially, will find the female Rat irresistable. Though they always bring out the worst in each other. However, horses get along great with Tigers and Dogs.

Possible professions for people that are born on the year of the horse are that of a journalist, engineer, architect, a writer or novelist, an actor or a model.

SHEEP:
The Sheep, or Goat, is thought to be the most artistic or creative sign of the zodiac. The Sheep is artistically talented and has a great sense of fashion. Chances are that this type will prefer to be a designer or painter, or go into the kind of profession where he/she can make the most of his/her gift for creating beautiful things.

These people are extremely beautiful creatures - they think before acting, and try not to hurt anyone's feelings. If it ever happens that the Sheep person causes unforeseen problems, it is very likely that he/she will step forward to rectify the situation. This side of their character helps them maintain a healthy social life as well as enabling them to deal with life's ups and downs.

Sympathy is very important to these people as is the approval of people they respect. However, they sometimes require too much attention and impose too much on those who are close to them.

Sometimes they are too sensitive for the real world; they often misinterpret situations. They can also be very shy, especially in front of those they like. People under this sign can be insecure. They need to feel loved and protected and are easily drawn into complex predicaments. This being so, they usually shy away from confrontation, pull back when faced with heavy decision-making, and blatantly refuse to take an unpopular stand in a conflict.

MONKEY:
The Monkey is the most versatile sign of the Chinese zodiac. Such people are often inventors, plotters, entertainers and the creative geniuses behind anything ingenious, including mischief. They have natural quick-wittedness which enables them to understand what is happening and then make a right decision. Even during a conversation a person born in this year is aware of what is going on around him/her, and then makes a mental note of who said what and stores it away for future reference. In general, with their agile minds and multiple talents, monkey types can master any subject. They are reliable and honest people so that any secret is safe in their hands. These people are also honest in their dealings and are very good at problem-solving: knowing how to listen closely and work out solutions at the same time.

Although these people are trustworthy and unlikely to hurt someone out of spite, they would never let people escape if they have behaved badly or damaged a monkey's reputation. Their stamina and determination to achieve their main goals can make these people appear vain or manipulative. People born under this sign should be careful so they do not damage their friendships. It is important to remember for these persons that it would be wiser sometimes not to pursue their goals and simply let things pass.

Monkeys have flexible principles and serene self-confidence so they are completely content; but they usually manage to complicate the lives of others. After yet another plan or project has gone wrong, they are seldom there to help clean up the disorder and confusion that they leave in their wake. Monkeys can handle that too; with their charm and persuasiveness they can make people believe that just knowing them is a privilege.

ROOSTER:
People born in the year of the Rooster are usually very observant. They are brave, resilient and tenacious but can also be quite self-absorbed, pretentious, and overly romantic. Most of the time, they are very accurate and precise with their observation.

These people certainly love to find themselves in the spotlight, they love entertaining friends and adore meeting new people, and even unexpected and uncertain circumstances are not a barrier for them.

It is almost impossible to find someone born in this year looking dowdy or untidy. The fact is that these people are usually the best dressed and groomed of all other people. They are actively interested in clothes, colours, and accessories, and are usually very critical of their own appearance as well as of the appearance of those around them. People born in the year of the Rooster like to be noticed and flattered. Such a person might dress a little flashy with this in mind, but in his heart, he/she is completely conservative. Roosters always appear attractive and beautifully turned out. They are sociable and love to receive attention. Others may criticize them for being exhibitionists but the fact that they are compassionate, wise, and have a brave nature which comes to the fore when others need their help, makes up for that deficiency.

It is difficult for these people to accept advice because of their strong independent spirit. These people are often confident in their own judgment and choices. There are times when these people may be too straight-forward which can cause some problems in relationships with others. So it would be wise sometimes not to express their opinions in order to keep the peace. Roosters can drive people away with their need to be right if they cannot relax and let the other person have a say.

Ideal Jobs Include: Newsreader, Sales person, Restaurant owner, Hairdresser, Public relations officer, Farmer, Athlete, Teacher, Waiter, Journalist, Travel writer, Dentist, Surgeon, Soldier, Fireman, Security guard, Police officer.

They are most compatible with an Ox, Dragon or Snake and most incompatible with a Goat

DOG:
Like his animal namesake, he is Loyal. He is the one who people are most likely to turn to when they need help. The dog person will come through every time. That is because he/she is sensitive to others and empathizes with them, particularly if someone has suffered an injustice; he/she reacts quickly with the same feeling as though he/she had been personally offended. Friends know that they can rely upon their Dog friend to keep a promise or remain cool in a crisis. Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues.

Dog types are honest, intelligent and straightforward. They will take on any responsibility that is given to them and you can be sure that they will do their job well.

People born in this year tend to be difficult, upset and shocked more often than the other signs.

Dog types do not tolerate weakness. They will work to push the weakness or the whole person with weakness out of their lives (the pack) if the behavior continues.

Dogs ideal jobs: politician, actor/actress, teacher, writer, movie director

PIG:
The Pig type is usually an honest, straightforward and patient person. They are a modest, shy character who prefers to work quietly behind the scenes. When others despair, they are often there to offer support. This type of person is reserved with those they do not know too well, but as time passes and they gain confidence, those around them may discover a lively and warm-hearted person behind that mask of aloofness. Despite those born in the year of pig having a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, they have few close friends who understand them and share their inner thoughts and feelings. It is easy to put trust in pig type; they won't let you down and will never even attempt to do so. Such people simply want to do everything right according to social norms.[9]

It is important to remember that these people are not vengeful creatures. If someone tries to take advantage of them, the pig type tend to withdraw to reflect on the problem and protect themselves. All they need in such situations is a little time to find a constructive way to respond. The people of the pig type are conservative creatures of habit. They dislike being made to travel too far from familiar surroundings, unless it is a trip to the countryside. They love nature and are never happier than when they are out somewhere, far from the city.

There is a tolerant and peaceful side to their character. Such people are never afraid to allow others their freedom of expression; they do not want to cause arguments and if there is any way to avoid arguing, they will probably take this option. However, they are not weak and if the situation forces them to fight these people will rise to the occasion, whether it is to defend themselves or those close to them.

Hi, I'm a pisces moon in a complicated situation with a scorpio moon. I can't explain every detail but pretty much us coming together was unexpected and the surrounding circumstances/outside factors were not at all ideal for our relationship to continue. It just seemed like a dead end and things were mutually called off for the time being. Recently, we ran into each other and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I was still in this person's thoughts, very much so. I get paranoid that I'm being manipulated or that this person is playing the "nice guy" card...you know, saying really sweet things to me and that type of stuff just to get the upper hand-- but then I remember that he's been honest with me and told me less than pleasant things out of respect, which means a lot. The amount of time we were together was short, but it was anything but superficial. I'm actually a little creeped out about how a seemingly lighthearted flirtation transformed into emotional fireworks. I want to break all the rules and essentially throw myself at this person , but something is telling me that if I'm cautious something better is in store. Do you think that scorp moons require patience from others? How can you tell when they're being honest? I was wondering if there's a tendency to test people, or to test their loyalties rather. This is the most frustrating situation because there is an intensity I've never felt before but it's unfolding so slowly and in quite a cryptic manner....how's a girl to deal with a scorp moon male?!

Mars in Virgo: A doctor, or nurse whose enire motivation was martyrdom to is or her patients, an inept doctor or nurse leading to death of patient, a workaholic whose life is filled with negative thoughts, a controlling leader, a hypochondriac.

Mars in Libra: A self-serving judge whose partial decisions led to injustices in his court, a vain society matron, a woman whose obsessive passion in a love affair created serious emotional and physical imbalanced in her life.

Mars in Scorpio: An intense, brooding man whose passion, extremism, and jealousy lead him to stalk someone with whom he was involved, a black magician, a dark vengeful woman, a detective whose work centered on his suspicious and paranoid nature, a controlling, manipulative head of a company.

Mars in Sagittarius: An itinerant preacher who traveled the country proselytizing his beliefs in the form of fire-and-brimstone sermons, an uncommitted cowboy, a claustophobic traveler, a pedantic philospher who pushed his truth down the throat of his followers.

Mars in Capricorn: a dictatorial, ruthless, demanding father, an authoritarian businessman, a scrooge-like personality who was stingy and selfish, a self-righteously angry man.

Mars in Aqaurius: An erratic rebel who led a revolution against his government for the sake of rebelling, a lawless nonconformist, an inflexible detached individual who was unable to connect with others on an emotional level, a brilliant, yet tormented scientist who hid in his lab far from society, a leading-edge philosopher who was ostracized for his non-conforming beliefs.
Mars in Pisces: An impractical alcoholic, a religious leader who martyred himself to his religion, an early Christian who died at the hands of the Romans, a totally codependent woman, naive, escapist, a person
who believed by sacrificing oneself to other will be a good person, someone taking actions without enough thought or reason.

Those born during the Waxing Crescent will find that their Moon is one or two signs after their Sun, forming a semisexitle or sextile. These people will find that they have many opportunities for growth, with a great deal of freshness and vitality.

Those born during the First Quarter will find that their Moon is two signs after their Sun, forming a square. These people are likely to find that they have an inner conflict that pushes them into action.

Those born under the Gibbous Moon will find that their Moon is four to five signs after their Sun, forming a trine or quincunx. When the Moon is four signs away, they will likely feel harmony, but when the Moon is five signs away they may feel ill at ease. These people have a desire to contribute to society and can give their all to a cause.

Those born during a Full Moon will have their Moon six signs ahead of the Sun, forming an opposition. These people generally find that everyone around them goes bonkers during the Full Moon. They can have some very serious emotional conflicts that they must work through, but because of this lunar placement, can accomplish a great deal in their lives.

Those born during the Disseminating Moon will find that their Moon is four to five signs behind their Sun. During the disseminating phase, people like to teach others the wisdom they have accumulated during their search for understanding.

Those born during the Third Quarter will have their Moon three signs behind their Sun. While these people must undergo internal conflicts, they have a tendency to internalise the stress they experience.

Those born during the Waning Crescent will have their lunar placement two signs behind their Sun in a complementary element, and are therefore usually in harmony with their basic self.

Those born during the Dark Moon will have a lunar placement one sign behind their Sun. These people tend to be prophetic, visionary types, tuned into the future, but considering themselves to be products of the past. They may be aware of an era in which something greater than themselves is taking place.

BAM!

This sounds like its coming from a bad scorpio moon mouth

Next to a Capricorn Moon, Scorpio is traditionally presumed to be one of the more twisted Moons you can buy.

If being passionate, caring, profound, creative, and sexy is twisted, I'm ready to leap into the pretzel machine in the next sixty seconds. This may be a tough Moon sign, because the challenge is nothing less than mastery of the self.

Ach, and here's the rub! So many of us are threatened by displays of deep emotion that Scorpio Moons learn to hide their feelings when they are young. By the time they grow up, they've gotten good at hiding their reactions from you. What's unfortunate is that they have also learned to hide their reactions from themselves.

The men, especially, need a woman who's a bit of a psychologist, someone patient enough - and tough and fearless enough! - to help them to dig out the feelings they're so afraid to show.

The trickiest game they play boils down to a recurring, hidden script: "I dare you to guess what I need. I'll drag a red herring all over your path so you can't figure me out. And if you're not clever enough or caring enough to guess, I won't let you in."

Sometimes they use drugs, alcohol, or sneaky affairs to fool themselves that they are coping with themselves. Eventually their inherent intelligence decides to take over and in a swoop they give up their smoke-screen vices. You can't make them do it. But when they are ready, this Moon has the most courage and more will power than all the other signs put together. It isn't that they need courage to give up affairs or drugs or drink; it's the courage to look the fears in the face, fears that create need for vices.

They're fun to sell to. Let it be noble, let it be bizarre. Hang in tough, present your wares in a matter-of-fact manner. A take-it-or-leave-it stance seems to work the best. This Moon thinks it's John Wayne. He likes anyone who acts proud, talks tough, and walks tall.

You can tell these hip-shooters anything. They keep secrets.

Crisis is their favorite hobby. Give them some extreme situation, and they're in their element - Rocks of Gibraltar. They will create a crisis, or at least a burst into tears every so often, in order to release the steam that builds up inside. Police work, psychology, and rescue missions are all part of their talents.

Once they understand that they perceive even ordinary everyday occurrences as threats to their own authority, there is a chance of draining off some of the poisonous paranoia that plagues these frightened people. They need to feel in control so badly that they fail to see what's really going on. Then they strike out, cruelly, to let you know how badly you've hurt their feelings.

A day dawns when it occurs to them that it's okay to have vulnerable feelings and that sharing those feelings with someone you trust is the best protection against not getting hurt.
Until that day they live out their emotional days alone.

In what sense does intimacy breed contempt?

I used to think the meaning of "intimacy breeds contempt" is: When we are close to someone, we usually omit the politeness that we would normally show to acuqaintances or strangers. When we are close to someone, conflicts would arise more easily.

But maybe "intimacy breeds contempt" is not so simple. Intimacy means sharing and being equal to another person. Some people fear intimacy because of the fear of being equal to that person. Intimacy might mean losing uniqueness or maybe losing part of self to another person, in other words, it means being weak. So some people loath intimacy. Guys are probably more prone to this condition.

Which explanation do you guys think is more true?

The Aries Sun/Scorpio Moon

combination will likely produce a character which combines assertiveness with a strong drive to control, improve and revolutionize. This can prove to be somewhat difficult because of the intensity of feelings inherent in those Aries persons governed by the Scorpio Moon...and the only thing with which such an Aries native may be satisified is himself or herself. These are competent people who recognize this as a fact. Even when things are not going well, these subjects will rarely become discouraged or inclined to give up. They are individuals who constantly seek out new mountains to climb or new challenges to meet. Unlike most other Zodiac signs ruled by a Scorpio Moon, the Aries native here is actually fascinated by change and revolutionary ideas, eagerly engaging in any type of competition or turmoil. Though genial enough with a pleasant smiling face, the Aries Sun/Scorpio Moon person is not one to be imposed upon or taken for granted...something of which others appear to be instinctively aware. These people are neither materialistic nor humanintarian by nature, striving instead for recognition and admiration. The only reward they truly seek is the personal satisfaction of seeing a job done right or the challenge met. Indeed, to such individuals, the work they do can be an end unto itself. Aries Sun/Scorpio Moon people are able to get things accomplished on their own and thus, are often inspiring to those around them. Others find this individual to be both magnetic and interesting and though many may be drawn to those ruled by the Scorpio Moon, the converse is not always true. These persons may have few close friends since self-sufficiency and self-respect seem to be all that is needed most of the time. However, such individuals are often so self-contained and capable that they frequently fail to receive any reasonable degree of sympathy and concern from those around them...even when it might be called for. Nevertheless, this is seldom of concern to Aries Sun/Scorpio Moon subjects since they will be equally as demanding on those with whom they deal and are just as harsh and uncompromsing with themselves.

This is an extention to the decendent thread I posted. Juno is an asteriod that has to do with partners as well.

Juno in the horoscope gives a good indication of the kind of marriage partner that we need and will get. Not the partner we think we want (those are ruled by Venus and Mars), but the one we need and actually wind up with. Let's get things straight here before we go into the details about Juno in your horoscope. Venus and Mars show what we consider to be our ideal man or woman. The 5th house describes the type of people we tend to get involved with romantically. The 7th house tells us the kind of person our first marriage partner will be (and the 9th house describes our 2nd marriage partner, if any). Juno works on a more fundamental level.

Juno in the Signs:

Juno in Aries: The partner will tend to be fiery, aggressive, assertive, and active. Grass doesn't grow under their feet.

Juno in Taurus: Solid, stable, and of course stubborn describes this partner.

Juno in Gemini: You should never marry a silent type. Talk, talk, and more talk in a partner is what you need. It also helps if they are versatile and clever.

Juno in Cancer: You need a sensitive, nurturing partner. Careful though. If Juno is making too many stressful aspects, you will have to nurture them, and they will whine and complain endlessly.

Juno in Leo: No, your partner does not have to be in show business, but they will tend to have showy qualities, be creative, or be very playful. On the other hand, they may be arrogant, bossy childlike, or immature, especially if Juno makes some stress aspects. In any case, give up any idea of attracting a shy, retiring type.

Juno in Virgo: You need a partner who is efficient, works hard, and watches out for your health. All right, so they may be a little critical at times (or at all times), especially if your Juno has stress aspects (the square, opposition, and some conjunctions).

Juno in Libra: You need a partner who is charming, social, and has a good artistic sense.

Juno in Scorpio: The need is for a partner who is intense, strong, and a bit secretive. They definitely must be good in bed.

Juno in Sagittarius: The partner will tend to come from an entirely different background and may even be a foreigner. Even if the partner is not a Sagittarian, they may have Sagittarian traits. They may be involved in higher education or take frequent long trips, and they may talk a lot and listen only a little (if at all).

Juno in Capricorn: Your need is for a practical partner who is a good organizer and can help you in business. Don't expect them to show too much emotion.

Juno in Aquarius: You need a partner that's - well - different. They may be a genius, eccentric, or just plain insane (maybe all of the above). It may be the partnership that is different. Aquarius is a sign that is fanatic about independence and having enough space. A bi-costal marriage where the two people spend a good deal of time apart is a good situation for the Pallas in Aquarius individual.

Juno in Pisces: This one may be satisfied with an imaginary partner! If they happen to be married to (or living with) a real person, then they can use imagination to eliminate the partner's shortcomings and add virtues to taste. Please be careful not to marry someone because you feel sorry for them or want to "save" them.

Juno in the Houses:

Juno in the 1st House: The 1st house is you, how you approach the world. Juno placed here can make being a partner the centerpiece of your life. Juno in the first house can also give you an air of innocence, something like a newborn child. This is especially true if Juno is within 10 degrees of the Ascendant and in the same sign.

Juno in the 2nd House: This is the house of money, possessions, and one's sense of self-worth. Marriage will likely bring an increase in the sense of self worth. They could also seek to get married to improve their sense of self worth, but of course that seldom works. In this case, they usually don't pick the best partner. They will tend to stay even in a bad marriage because divorce for them could be devastating. They could also marry for money or regard their marriage partner as a possession. On the other hand, they may literally be married to their possessions, spending most of their time accumulating more and more.

Juno in the 3rd House: Communication will tend to be an especially important here, and marriage or partnership will tend to improve the communications ability of anyone with this placement, especially if there are harmonious aspects to Juno (sextile and trine). Stressful aspects on the other hand (square and opposition) could indicate that the marriage can reduce communications ability.

Juno in the 4th House: This person can be married to their home. Juno in the 4th house can also indicate a need for a partner who is attached to the domestic environment. Another possibility is that you become more of a domestic type after marriage.

Juno in the 5th House: Marriage tends to improve creativity with this placement. The partner would also tend to be a creative person, or good with children, sports, games, and hobbies. If afflicted, watch out. They may act like a child themselves and want to play all the time instead of work.

Juno in the 6th House: This person can be married to their work. They are more likely to marry a co-worker! More often, though, Juno in the 6th house shows a need for a partner that one can work with. If there are stress aspects (the square or opposition, or the conjunction to a malefic) then partnership and work won't blend well. In that case, either you will try to turn the partner into a servant, or they will try to do the same to you. Strive for some equality here if you don't want the partnership to break up.

Juno in the 7th House: This simply increases the need for a marriage or partnership. Those things will tend to be the cornerstone of your life.

Juno in the 8th House: You need a Sex Machine for a partner. Since the 8th house rules the partner's possessions, well, they may regard you as a possession (especially if there are stress aspects). Marriage and partnership can also help you to reconstruct or transform yourself (whether you want to or not).

Juno in the 9th House: You need a partner with whom you can travel (long trips, not short ones) and "philosophize." The partner will tend to be someone born a great distance from you (even a foreigner) or from a totally different background.

Juno in the 10th House: This placement of Juno can indicate marriage to the career. More likely, it will show that the partner will help you in your career and social standing. If there are stressful aspects to Juno, the partner may "help" you whether you want them to or not. Or you may not like the partner, but you feel you cannot get a divorce because either your career or social standing will suffer.

Juno in the 11th House: Marriage to social activities is a possibility here. You could marry a friend, or become friends with the partner after marriage. The partner may be the one involved with organizations or social causes, or you could get involved with those things yourself after marriage.

Juno in the 12th House: Watch out for this one. There is an increased chance that the first marriage (or business) partner can do you in, or even be an enemy. More likely, it is you who are doing yourself in by getting attracted to the wrong person. This will be especially true if there are stressful aspects to Juno or to the ruler of the 7th house. It could also work out that the partner is really a nice person, but is restricted in some way and requires your constant help.

Juno Aspects: Juno in aspect to any planet can mean you will tend to attract a partner who has traits of the sign that planet rules. For instance, Juno aspecting Mars could attract you to an Aries type.

Juno Aspects the Sun: There will be a tendency to attract showy, dramatic, Leo types of partners. Conversely, this person could themselves become more showy and dramatic after marriage. The harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile, and trine) can act in a similar fashion to Venus. They increase the charm and social graces to a degree. But Juno goes further. It can give one an air of innocence. We like people with Venus in conjunction the Sun because they are charming. Those with Juno in harmonious aspect to the Sun are liked because they are "cute." The stressful aspects, however, are indicators of ego conflicts with partners. Frequently, there are big problems with getting and holding on to a partner. In many cases, there is no desire to have a partner at all. Demetra George in her excellent book Asteroid Goddesses quotes Gloria Steinhem's famous answer to the question "Why didn't you ever get married?" Steinhem (who has the Sun in Aries square Juno in Capricorn) replied, "I don't mate well in captivity."

Juno Aspects the Moon: The attraction will be to emotional and nurturing partners, and domestic types. At least they will tend to be nurturing with the harmonious aspects conjunction, sextile and trine. The stressful aspects (square and opposition) can indicate a clash between your emotional and partnership needs. You could get a partner who is over-emotional or whines a lot. Conversely, the partner could bring out those traits in you.

Juno Aspects Mercury: Well, your partner won't be quiet. Forget the silent type. Anyone who marries you will have to communicate, communicate, communicate. The harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine) indicate good communication between the two of you. It could also show that your ability to communicate improves with partnership. The stressful aspects (square and opposition) can indicate communication problems with partners. One of you may try to stifle the other here because you both want to talk at once.

Juno Aspects Venus: The attraction will be to a charming partner with good artistic ability and taste. At least that will tend to be true for the harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine). The stressful aspects (square and opposition) could attract a lazy, slothful, and indolent partner. Partnership could also bring out these traits in you. With stressful aspects, there will tend to be a clash between your partnership needs (Juno) and your ability to express love and affection (Venus). As a result, you might find it difficult to express love to your partner (or vice-versa) and would seek to do this elsewhere. Years ago, there was a TV program called "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" which was a satire on soap operas. Mary's husband had affairs with all the other women in town and was impotent only with her.

Juno Aspects Mars: Marriage and partnership will stir you to action. In fact, you may need a partner to be active at all. The partners you attract will tend to be active, assertive, and aggressive. Conversely, having a partner may bring out these traits in you. The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) are indicators of arguments with partners. One of you may try to dominate the other.

Juno Aspects Jupiter: The partner will tend to be expansive optimistic, and "jovial" (jovial comes from Jove, Jupiter). Marriage and partnerships will also have an expansive effect on you. Yes, it can make you more optimistic. Watch out that it doesn't make you fat as well. At least this will be true for the harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine). The stressful aspects (square, and opposition) can attract an over-optimistic partner who is always expecting their "lucky break" to be right around the corner. There could also be a clash over religious or philosophical differences. The over-expansiveness could also apply to extra-marital affairs. If you have a stress aspect between Juno and Jupiter, either you or your partner might think that the "to have, hold, and love" part of the marriage vow means anyone whom you fancy at the moment.

Juno Aspects Saturn: The partners will tend to be older (in spirit if not in actual years). With the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) partners are likely to be solid, practical, and dependable, but, unless there are other indicators, don't expect them to be the life of the party. Conversely, partnership could bring out the solid, practical, and dependable side of you.The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) may cause marriage to be delayed, or even denied. If you have this one, try not to get married before your first Saturn Return (which occurs around the age of twenty nine). Stressful aspects between Juno and Saturn can have a similar effect to Saturn placed in the 7th house. An early marriage (before the Saturn Return) will slowly decay until there is no affection left and the marriage collapses. Juno/Saturn stress aspects can also indicate someone who makes a bad marriage for "practical" reasons, such as security. They will also be prone to stay in a bad marriage to protest their social image, or because "a half a loaf is better than none." As if there is anything "practical" about having a bad marriage! These people have to learn to cut their losses and make a fresh start.

Juno Aspects Uranus: If you have this combination in your horoscope (especially the stressful aspects, the conjunction, square, or opposition) I have a question for you. Let's say you walk into a room where there are twenty people, and nineteen of them are sane and normal, but the twentieth person either escaped from an insane asylum or just got off of a UFO, guess which one you would be most likely to marry? (Hint: it's not the first nineteen). Uranus always has to be Different. When Juno aspects Uranus, the partner or the partnership has to be different. With the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) you don't get into as much trouble. The partner will tend to be independent, or very bright, or a bit odd. The partnership itself will likely be more "open" with each partner doing their own thing and going their own way. Uranus is fanatic about having enough of its own space. The stressful aspects can lead to several marriages. Elizabeth Taylor has Juno in Cancer square Uranus in Aries (Uranus is also in a close conjunction with Venus). Years ago, Julian Armistead gave a lecture on her chart. He had several of the press clippings that quoted her at the time of her marriages. Her first marriage to Nick Hilton: "I've never known it was possible to be this much in love. This is going to last forever." Her second marriage a couple of years later to Michael Wilding: "This time, it's the real thing. This is going to last forever." Her fifth marriage to - well who can keep track? "This time I mean it. It's the real thing." Juno in Cancer always wants it to last "forever" and Uranus always makes you think it's the "real thing." If you have a Juno/Uranus stress aspect, don't rush into marriage. And forget about having a partnership that is conventional. It would bore you to tears - and divorce. Make sure that you and your partner each has enough "space." It helps if one of you travels a lot (Uranus aspects are perfect for bi-costal marriages). Absence for this combination truly makes the heart grow fonder.

Juno Aspects Neptune: If you have a stressful aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) between Juno and Neptune, please, PLEASE do not marry someone because you feel sorry for them or because you want to "save" them. Remember this magic number. If you do, you will never again have the problem of getting into a marriage for the wrong reasons. Please memorize it. It's 911. Dial that and have them taken away so they can be helped by a professional. Then, get into therapy yourself to cure your masochism. On the positive side especially with the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) the partner will tend to be sensitive, empathetic, and imaginative. Marriage and partnership can also bring out these same traits in you. In all cases, there will be an inclination to over idealize the partner, to see what we want to see about them.

Juno Aspects Pluto: Partners will tend to be intense and secretive. Sex can be volcanic. Pluto is the planet of extremes, death, and transformation. Either your power or that of your partner will be affected by marriage. One of you is likely to be transformed in some way. The harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) can bring out a strength you never thought you had. The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) will bring out strength too, in the form of dictatorial attitudes and power struggles. One of you will try to dominate the other. The feelings towards the partner can easily go from "I love you" to "I hate you" to "I'm obsessed with you." Even if the two of you break up, this will be the partner you never forget (for better or worse).

Juno Aspects the Ascendant: Juno in conjunction with the Ascendant makes us more attractive, like Venus. But while Venus uses charm, Juno attracts by giving us an air of innocence, like that of a young baby. This trait is also present with the other harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) but not quite as strong. The opposition is not a stressful aspect here. Remember that an opposition to the Ascendant is also a conjunction to the Descendant. The conjunction to the Ascendant makes a person more marriage oriented, especially if Juno is in the 1st house. If Juno is on the 12th house side of the Ascendant, however, then there will still be an increased desire to marry, but there will be increased restrictions of some sort (see Juno in the 12th house). With the square aspect of Juno to the Mid-Heaven, there would tend to be extra stress in marriage that requires constant adjustment and re-adjustment. At least it will not be dull.

Juno Aspects the Mid-Heaven: Aspects to the Mid-Heaven affect one's career and "public image." Juno-ruled careers include marriage councilor and people who work in organizations that try to prevent wife-battering and child abuse. Like Venus, Juno has an attraction for all occupations that involve beauty and adornment. This also includes anything involving the arts. When it comes to career, it doesn't matter if an aspect to the Mid-Heaven is harmonious or stressful. In fact, the stressful aspects can frequently bring greater success since they generate more power. Those with harmonious aspects may take it too easy and not push hard enough.

How to Put it all Together:

Ok, so now you have some idea of the partner you need. But what if the house position, sign placement, and aspects seem contradictory? Let's run through some examples.

Suppose you have Juno in Libra (a need for a charming, artistic partner) but is in the 5th house (children, creativity, fun and games). You would tend to need a charming partner that you could have fun with.
Children would also take on increased importance here. Now what if that Juno in Libra were in the 10th house? You would still need a charming partner, only now fun is not what you are after. This charming partner would have to help you in your career.

How about Juno in Scorpio in the 5th house? There would still be a need for fun and games, but now the partner is intense and volcanic. Of course sex takes on increased importance here.

Play around with some more examples. Mix and match. See what you can come up with. Mixing practice and play is one of the best ways to learn anything, astrology included.

This doesn't have much to do with having a scorpio moon but I thought it was interesting:

Seventh-House ARIES: You tend to favor a mate who is self-assured, decisive and capable of leading--more or less 'taking charge' of the relationship. You prefer to be sought out rather than to seek out a partner. Drawn-out 'preliminaries' may try your patience somewhat. Basically, you believe in getting on with the pairing rather than waiting unduly for something to 'happen.' You are prone to an early-in-life marriage, and to forming another relationship right away if the former one ends, for whatever reason. Look out for prospective partners who attempt to rush things to the point you're uncomfortable. Be especially watchful for any indicators of "dormant" abusive tendencies. Don't ignore the potential negatives of a hair-triggered temper, or even a slight inclination to be verbally or physically abusive. Never lose control of your right for determining what is acceptable behavior and what is not. Consider the ramifications and inherent negatives if your potential mate seems unwilling to discuss their past, especially regarding close associations. Refuse to be pushed into a union you regard as less than aboveboard, or possibly even threatening.

Seventh-House TAURUS: You well may attract and tend to prefer a partner who obviously is something of a special sexual "turn-on"--a veritable 'dreamboat.' The good appearance of one prospect may rule out another who's not physically as attractive and appealing. In addition to a sensuous appearance, you desire that any partner also appear and actually be in good health. Much practicality is desired, as well as financial promise; a good provider is strongly favored. Already being financially well of is a very, very big plus; otherwise, above-average monetary prospects may suffice. Do be wary of those who profess wealth they can't actually substantiate, or promise material things which they never deliver; in other words, rule out 'high-rollers.' Be highly suspect of any who may seem overly obsessed with personal sexual gratification as contrasted to other matters equally as important to a successful union. Unless you prefer an overweight partner who may eat and drink themselves to an early grave and leave you alone, decline teaming up with a borderline or obvious glutton. A reasonably-long courtship period will allow you time to spot these and other negatives which, by the way, you'll never persuade them to modify.

Seventh-House GEMINI: Youth and a youthful outlook/demeanor figure importantly when choosing your mate. You desire a partner who also is intelligent and communicative. A good mental rapport is a must for any successful pairing. Sex is fine but you won't really enjoy a relationship if you can't have mental 'fun and games' with your lover on a regular basis. You'll appreciate a companion who's versatile and adaptable, as well as interested and talented across a broad spectrum of subjects/areas. You want someone who can discuss politics, and repair the toaster oven! Beware those who are overly 'versatile' and so scattered they'll likely be unsuccessful in just about any constructive endeavor. If they have held an unusually large number of jobs over a relatively short period of time, avoid getting too involved--unless you'd enjoy being the sole breadwinner who'll have to spend a lot of non-work time trying to "nurse" your adult mate through a very prolonged 'adolescence.' While you may appreciate 'child-like' qualities in a partner, how will this compute when you have real children who need the attention your mate expects? Check out any evidence of prior serious deceptiveness or infidelity.

Seventh-House CANCER: Whether still interested in raising a family or not, you tend to seek and attract the "fatherly-motherly" type of suitor. Since "nesting" is inherently so important to you, there's a profound tendency to offer preferential attention to potential partners who can offer real security and protection. An individual who already owns a home or shows a strong interest (and promise) for acquiring one will stand head and shoulders above those who lack these meaningful trappings. You also favor one who is sensitive, emotionally responsive and just a bit 'possessive' of their partner. A 'stay-at-home' type may meet with your requirements. Beware of anyone who, instead of a mate, seems to be looking for a "parent" to take care of them. Also look out for the free-loader type who may be more interested in your home/property/possessions/money than romance; once they 'move in,' they are not easy to 'remove.' Get to know any prospect at least long enough to determine exactly how sensitive they are, and how long they pout and 'shut you out' should you say or do something to hurt their feelings/emotions. Note how they behave during Full Moons!

Seventh-House LEO: You appreciate, tend to attract potential mates who possess a certain flair, "flash," and some downright showmanship. An accented level of the creatively-dramatic gets your attention! Regardless of their chronological age, you look for the "child" within, that spark of youthfulness that's so refreshing. A patently positive and 'can-do' outlook and philosophy tends to give them a big plus. You prefer someone who is not only a good lover but who also can make love and love-making real fun. An interest in sports may also be an asset. Don't permit a desire for having a good time to cause you to miss spotting any potential partner who has no intentions or plans for anything more than using you for the "good times." Watch for hints they may be in love only with themselves, or that they are gross braggarts, or that they are addicted to gambling, or that they are incorrigibly immature. Since most prospects may be effective "actors," you need to learn when they are only 'putting on a big show.' Their good looks and charm should not be allowed to overweigh other more tangible qualities and assets.

Seventh-House VIRGO: The potential mate who will impress and satisfy your most important requirements is, above everything else, practical and down-to-earth. No 'pie-in-the-sky' promises will impress or very positively influence your choice. They must be gainfully employed or in a stable business or profession--and not be afraid to work hard. Common sense (especially) and at least average intelligence are mandatory. Any advanced-education credentials will command your attention. You might even consider for marriage the otherwise right candidate who may not be especially 'sexy' or that physically attractive; however, they must be sexually adequate, willing and capable of satisfying your libido's needs. A yellow flag should go up if a potential mate starts showing signs of being hypercritical, extremely 'fussy' or all but impossible to please. Know these flaws will only worsen with time, and can make your life miserable. Beware of 'neatness freaks,' hypochondriacs, and serious workaholics--all of which you easily can attract. Be leary of anyone who seems to have a very checkered employment history; sadly, some you seem to attract may be experts at working to stay 'between jobs.'

Seventh-House LIBRA: With the natural sign of marriage and partnerships "at home" in your personal horoscope, there should never be a dull moment regarding prospects, unions, etc. You favor and do seem to attract potential partners who are above average appearance-wise. Good manners, neatness, good taste and the ability to get along well with others is expected, even mandatory for anyone you'd actually choose for a mate. Those who possess or demonstratable talent in the fine arts--music, painting, drama, sculpture, etc., will get a special and favorable consideration. Lawyers could prove appealing. Look out for those who seem incapable ever of making a decision and then sticking with it. Be wary of those who seem much more concerned with their personal physical appearance than is appropriate. Look out for signs of selfishness that manifest as jealousy and/or an unwillingness to share things equally and fairly. Be especially careful with making your choice because your seventh-house Libra, perhaps moreso than any other sign, seems to 'compel' you to be paired most of your adult life. If you make unsatisfactory choices, you will be 'motivated' to go through the whole process again and again--until you get it right!

Seventh-House SCORPIO: If a prospective mate lacks that special sex appeal and 'sexiness' you appreciate, they well may be out of the running--unless they'll settle for a friendship only. You'll favor someone who is willing to take ample time to build a meaningful relationship; you dislike being rushed, especially when your feelings and emotions are involved. An accented libido is desired to go along with that innate sensuousness and the "turn-on" appearance. You'll also appreciate if they are well off financially and/or in line for a sizable inheritance in the foreseeable future. Watch out for those whose primary or only interest in you is their sexual gratification, and those whose sexual needs are in excess of or not up to par with yours. Too easily, you could attract someone whose sexual preferences are far outside your perimeters! Be on the lookout early on for any such indicators so you can take timely action to terminate the relationship, If you have money, property or other significant assets, give favorable consideration to a prenuptial agreement, especially if your potential mate is not anywhere close to being equally as well off. If they won't agree and sign on, you'd be wise to hold off.

Seventh-House SAGITTARIUS: You have a special preference and seem to attract potential mates who are from other states/countries, or whose upbringing and life experiences are markedly in contrast with your own; in effect, you favor "foreigners." It's probable you can tolerate--may even prefer--a mate who travels or for other reasons is away from home more than the average. You don't want a lover who demands too much 'togetherness,' or who "smothers" you with love or too much attention. You'll enjoy someone who likes to travel often--with you. A good sense of humor is a very big plus. Look out for the potential mate who is a bit much-too-aloof, detached; you don't enjoy being all but completely ignored! Extra effort to check out their past is not only wise but absolutely necessary. Know that some 'foreigners' might think they can cover past mistakes and make themselves seem more desirable than they in fact are. If there is anything to hide, they know it will be more difficult to discover than if they were long-time residents of your area. Be ever on the alert for inconsistencies in what they tell you one time to another.

Seventh-House CAPRICORN: Choosing your ideal mate may not be easy, and can take longer than the average. You tend to attract and well may prefer a partner some others might label as "emotionally cold." With you, your marriage is somewhat like a 'business partnership,' meaning you want to get involved only if you believe a union will stand the test of time. You want and need a practical, levelheaded and down-to-earth mate who will work hard at doing their part to assure you get what you "contracted" for. Good sex probably is much more important than romance; reliability and material success more important than good looks, sensuousness--or even age. Look out for those potential mates who are so negative they might, in time, cause you to see nothing good in anything or anyone. You don't want to live in an atmosphere of complete gloom and doom! Carefully check out any suggestions that you invest or become involved in any business activity owned or planned by a prospective partner. Also be leary if they seem to expect that marriage will obligate you to serve as a full-time, unsalaried employee in their business unless, of course, you're protected legally. Read the small print of any proposed premarital legal contracts.

Seventh-House AQUARIUS: Whether you like it or not, you seem to attract potential partners who are, to say the least, 'unusual.' Further, it's true you may not favor anyone who is not 'special' or 'one-of-a-kind.' To appeal, a suitor must stimulate you mentally. It's most important that you establish a sound friendship before you consider anyone for a mate. If they are involved and/or seriously interested in participating in the activities of groups, clubs and social organizations, you'll give them special consideration. An excellent mental rapport is of extreme importance. Test the lines of communication before you make a decision. Look out for and turn away all those whose actions may cross over into the boundries of the weird. Realize that these individuals are probably past "saving." Be extremely leary of those who too often concern themselves with the problems/interests of so-called friends to the degree that you and the partnership are neglected. Be certain to learn early on if their interest in you includes more than just a mental rapport and a "meeting of the minds"; sexual compatibility should not be ignored if you desire the relationship to last.

Seventh-House PISCES: You seem to attract and to prefer potential mates who are sensitive, very affectionate, "soft," and mainly passive. It's probable they may be artistically inclined or even productive artists. You desire those who are very romantic because you relish being placed on a 'pedestal' and adored totally by someone who really means the nice things they say to and about you. A special "caring and romancing" resembling what's in line with the classic 'storybook' theme is bound to get your approval. You may have a special interest in those who are physically attractive, especially if they have interesting eyes, dark hair and long lashes. Look out for individuals whose goals seem not to include much or anything of a tangible, material or monetary nature. Love alone will not pay the bills! Avoid the type who seem to have little in their past to prove dependability, reliability or very much responsibility. Be doubly certain they are not addicted to drugs, alcohol or other potentially-harmful substances or habits. Be leary of any who seem incapable of taking a stand on anything, or who seem devoid of any 'backbone' at all. If you can't accept them totally "as is," don't think you can actually change them to your liking.
