Scorpio Moon & Appearance

topic posted Thu, April 10, 2008 - 11:55 PM by  Nika
I know that the ascendant is really what's supposed to determine your appearance, but I find that I have little from leo(rising sign) in any aspect whatsoever. I feel like scorpio is most visible in my appearance and perhaps some from my sun sign (aries), too. Do any of you feel scorpio is visible in your appearance even though it's in your moon and not your ascendant?

I think that moon sign is visible in the eyes.I noticed specifics in the people with the watery moon, aqua moon, aries moon. Sometimes i can feel they have this moon, or mistaken that they are born in their moon sign. I noticed pisces moon have sort of wet eyes, aries moon has .playful, childish eyes, scorpio moon has focus in their look, cancer moon person seems pasive, aqua moon people have strange look and seem aloof.
This arent the rules ,its just my observation .

        Really! Admire your courage.

For this Gemini, no one has managed to do that. . . . ever.

Gemini - Moon in Scorpio - Scorpio Rising.

A friend of mine has same as you Gem Sun and Scorpio Moon. I dont believe there was anything anyone could say to shock him. Even if he was ever shocked he would not react just hold it within and then like a silent bomb going off it would affect him later usually when no one was around. Still it may not get expressed for a long time.

              Hey Danny

I found that with my friend the duality of the Gemini and Scorpio moon was strong, it was like he seemed to express the Gemini and keep things light and then he would sort of shift gears and express the Scorpio,,,it was kinda like two different people at times. I know he had trouble integrating the two energies.

                Magenta, you are dead on!

"he seemed to express the Gemini and keep things light and then he would sort of shift gears and express the Scorpio,,,it was kinda like two different people at times. I know he had trouble integrating the two energies."

Took me into my late twenties to integrate the two. Gemini provides the management, the mental state, and Scorpio the source of perception and power. (Well, a lot comes from Mars in Ares, but you get the idea.) Eye contact is always Scorpio; akin to "locked on target". Have learned to deliberately shift gaze if I don't get the same intensity coming back. A lot of people get uneasy with steady eye contact.

Good phrase for a Gemini/Scorpio: "I am my evil twin."

    Nika,

You can tell a Scorpio moon by the intensity in the gaze of the eyes. The way the light hits the eyes will reveal a water type of elemental look to them but Scorpio moon eyes are very powerful and seem to grab the camera. That's what I meant when I said your eyes are "Scorpio eyes"

Usually it's different with Scorpio suns or a person with Scorpio in personal planets. The intensity is there but it's not as strong. You can definately see if a person is a Scorpio in any sense of the word, but the moon is a HUGE contributing factor in the eyes.

Your rising is how people percieve you upon first meeting you. If you have Leo rising, they can see it in your appearance. The hair, the SHAPE of the eyes and so forth. Your eye shape take on a cat like round sort of shape. Your hair is full and very beautiful, and Leo risings have that going for them. The rising isn't your personality. It's the first impression people get of you as your descendant would be the last impression people get of you.

"The rising isn't your personality. It's the first impression people get of you"- to this i agree, i dont put a lot of meaning on the ascendant sign , specially if its very diferent from the rest of your chart. To me it works as sort of defensive mecanism.

AS far as sun in scorpio people,i know a lot of them and they usually have very intense eyes, and scorpionic gaze. Even if only their sun is in scorpio, you cant miss their eyes.

Yes, and I too know a lot of them myself, Ana. They do have intense eyes but the moon placement is definately very strong in the eyes. I know Scorpio/Gemini's, Scorpio/Aries, Scorpio's with earthy moon signs and you see that quality about them. My TF is a Scorpio and has an air moon. You can see it in his eyes that he's got air.

That is also truth. But in some cases scorpio sun dominates over their moon sign. For example , i have a friend who is scorpio sun, gemini moon, mercury, venus in sagg, but psyhically she represents , "book description of scorpio", definately has scorpio and no gemini eyes, my grandmom sun scorpio-moon gemini has a killer look. And she is 88 years old.

But like i said in my first post here, i often mistake some people for "being their moon sign". I met this capricorn sun person, but those eyes, i sough pisces in there, and checked and it was pisces moon, that kind of stuff hapends to me often.

Yeah! Look at Sarah Miichelle Gellar. She doesn't look that much like an Aries sun but her eyes are Piscean.

Yeah, sometimes it's more a sun/stellium domination. My TF is sun and Mars in Scorpio. He has intensity in his eyes when he wants to show it but otherwise you see the gemini in him. He also displays that airlike energy in his actions.

Truth, Buffy does have pisces eyes, and yes, you can notice on movie, music ,people their moon sign better sometimes, its just the kind of enery they radiate. Johnny Cash and his dark scorpio moon eyes, love him.

It's more than an energy, it's also how a person reacts to people, situations, and how they express emotions, or lack thereof in some cases. A LOT of people seem to overlook or underestimate the moon signs function. I just spoke to a woman on the phone who is a Sag but didn't know what her moon sign was until I looked it up and found out she has a Gemini moon. It fits her because she's always moving about and she's got a lot of Hollywood connections since her dad was a bigshot out there. She's an incredible gal who's very open minded and a great listener. She's always helping someone out yet never in the same place from day to day. I love how she is.

Also, I've known a Sag woman with a Cancer moon who didn't give a hang about her moon sign and said everything was about her sun sign and that was it. She really wasn't into digging deep. This woman had several mood swings, would drink like a fish and be insulting. I think one has to learn to accept all aspects of ones self, and love the person they are in order to heal themselves emotionally.

You can always tell a water sign moon or sun by their eyes. Now I consider that a rule. A softness, watery, usually colored eyes... I recently was watching the music video "six underground" by the sneaker pimps, and there was this one scene with Kelli Ali looking at the camera with this special glint in her eyes, and it struck me as totally Scorpio. Turns out she has a Scorpio moon. That made perfect sense to me.

Yeah! There's an intensity to the eyes. Look at Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, and Owen Wilson for examples too.

Sun is ego and drive, Moon is emotions and inner self and self expression, Mercury is how we communicate and decision make, Venus is what makes us happy and how we love, Mars is our passion and energy, Jupiter is our expansion, Saturn is Karma and restrictions and how we execute plans, Uranus is the unconventional

The rising sign is not in a planet, it's where the sun was in the horizon so it has VERY little effect on us accept to give a first impression/our appearance on whomever meets us in the flesh for the first time. Obviously this impression isn't lasting. Descendant is the mask we take off to the world.

My scorpio moon friend doesn't show anything scorpionic usually. He tries to hide it, I guess. He doesn't like to stare at people. When he talks to people, he looks at them with exaggirated smile. When I saw him the first time, I felt there must be something beneath the exaggirated smile and laughter. He has saggi sun and aqua rising and he appears totally saggitarius and aquarius, funny but detached. Some of his photos show his scorpio traits though. I think photos always capture something that one might want to hide.

I think he shows more scorpio traits when he is quiet. For example, in photos.

                    Jen,

I just watched that video clip - 6 underground _ i see what you mean. I always find with Scorp Moons when you look at their faces you can see and sense so much going on undre the surface, a depth and complexity.

Interesting her lyrics in that song " I'll take what ever your giving -not enough"

I kind thought that shows the intense desire nature and also with Scorpio moons they do draw energies to them, as opposed to project energy outward.

and interesting in the chorus i think she sings "fall from grace"

could she be referring to the Scorpio Moon "fall" that often occurs within the context of love or relationships.

My closest friend of 10 years is Gemini Sun with Scorpio Moon.,

He has dark eyes, with a definite intense look but not penetrating like Scorpio Rising does more concentrated I would say, like something is always going on or being processed within.

Dark hair and a concentrated look in his eyes. Pale almost ghostly white skin - but not in a freaky way in a sort of dark glowing attractive way.

"So what is the personality? " The personality is the whole chart and beyond ,of course.

Ascendant is a part of my personality but those arent the charasteristics i identify with on the inside, when im alone with my self.
But it is the way people see me, so there for it is a part of me ,the outside, superficial, first impression part. So i sometimes present my inner personality on a funny ,goofy way- gemini ascendant
Like i sad its my mask, it works as my defensive mechanism.
But i am not a trained astrologer, i cant give a general definition, i can only speak for my self, about how i feel.

I feel the same Ana. I also have an Air sign rising (Libra) and in public I tend to be smiley and greeting people but I am more of a scorpio on the inside. But Venus and Mars make contacts to my moon so I guess I am a little sweet and sometimes agressive. What's your sun sign?

I havent really talked to people about their first impressions of me not even my friends. I have Uranus Squaring my ascendant and I have been told by many that I am odd or weird. I have Neptune Squaring my ascendant as well but I'm not sure how people really see that when we first meet. I've read a discription that says whatever the aspect Neptune makes to the Ascendant, that sign is especially appearant so maybe they see my Libra rising that much more. I have one more aspect to my ascendant and that is Saturn. People have called me a "party pooper" or "wet blanket".

I think that we tend to disregard our ascendants when the moon sign clashes with it but we really shouldn't do that because it is appart of us. We may see ourselves as scorpios but the world sees us as something else. I don't hate my Libra rising I just wish that I had a more powerful ascendant.

Those who are born under the jurisdiction of Scorpio are usually of a robust physical nature and possessed of a reserved and undemonstrative dignity of appearance. When young, these natives are usually quite slender but they are inclined to corpulency in their middle years. Almost always considered to be of a medium type, Scorpio subjects have broad and open countenances. They tend to possess rather sharp features with voices that are often very shrill and penetrating...although the tone can be deep, strong and compelling. These are individuals who exercise self-control and reserve in their speech, often displaying a rare poise. The frame can range from thickset to thin and wiry, but is usually somewhat compacted and firm. Generally, Scorpio natives possess powerful physiques...almost as if the musculature were fashioned from sprung steel. Even the more wiry of Scorpio subjects (and there are quite a few) will have a sinewy appearance, suggesting an inner tension or defensiveness. Indeed, many individuals governed by this Sign have a roundish and boxy type of shape. On occasion, an air of superiority may be displayed in this native's calm and cool composure...but it simply belies an intensity held within that is something akin to a volcano on the point of eruption. The most notable facial feature of Scorpio is the piercing and often reptilian-like eyes, which can become transfixed...devoid of any emotion or weakness...and seeming to penetrate the very soul. Because of this, many people find themselves more than a little uncomfortable beneath the hypnotic gaze of a Scorpio native...and for good reason. The eyes of Scorpio individuals, more likely than not, are appraising the personality and disovering the best-kept secrets of the focus of their attention, without the chosen subject uttering a single word. In addition, the eyes...usually very magnetic, dark and round...often possess a brilliant shine.

Here, the forehead and eyebrows are usually quite heavy and there may be a hint of the sardonic in the expression. In general, the hair of Scorpio persons is dark, thick and somewhat coarse, tending to curls or a at least a degree of waviness. It is also not uncommon for there to be an abundance of bodily hair. The mouth is invariably firm, sometimes suggesting a grimace, and the chin is determined. In short, the features customarily reflect the qualities of this Sign...combining inner strength, wilful determination and an inscruitability of expression. Most possess a fine skin texture, which may be sallow and rather oily. Indeed, most Scorpio natives are lucky to leave adolescence without carrying some scars or acne marks into their adult life. Here, the height is usually below average to average...tall is rare. Once a Scorpio subject enters his or her thirties, there is a tendency to put on weight rather easily. The head is of average length and often rather flat on top. The nose is frequently perceived to be Roman, but may be either aquiline or concave, tending to fullness at the tip. The teeth may be short and could be spaced rather far apart. It is customary for those governed by this Sign to present an attractive and strikingly tidy appearance. There is usually not a hair out of place, the nails will be well cared for and they will be both health and physique conscious. The Scorpio walk is apt to be somewhat quick as well as having a bounce or swing that gives the appearance of an invisible tail being wagged. In short, most people consider the walk of a Scorpio native to be rather seductive.

To some extent, the above descriptions are influenced and affected by the qualities associated with the Decan into which the Scorpio individual falls. (To read more about the qualities associated with the Decans of Scorpio, please click on the link given below.)
A subject born within the First Decan (October 23 to October 31...also known as the Scorpio Decante of Scorpio) is rather typical of the above description, but generally somewhat slim of build and short to medium in terms of height. Here, the nose is often sharp and pointed with the gaze being extremely intense. The skin is typically darker than normal and the tendency to put on weight is more pronounced as the years go by. There may well be an accented libido associated with this Decan, which makes its natives...and others...very much aware of a sexual and sensual appearance. It would not be uncommon for these subjects, on a personal level, to receive unwelcome...or even gross...attention from people and if they dress too provocatively, may be inviting situations they could well do without.

A subject born within the Second Decan (November 1 to November 10...also known as the Pisces Decante of Scorpio) falls under the influence of Pisces and the associated characteristics of that Sign, which tend to soften and refine both the physical features and the personality of Scorpio. Here, the build tends to be somewhat broader. In addition, the face is also broader and more square with larger eyes. The neck will be fairly thick and long while the legs may be somewhat bowed. Natives of this Decan may be tall or even very tall. In fact, the overall impression is of an individual who is slightly overweight but relatively good-looking. Scorpio natives who are governed by this Decan and who were born in the 1940s and 1950s may not necessarily adhere to this physicial description due to the confusion caused by the Neptune semi-sextile influence. In addition, the traditional strong will, determination, secrecy and drive that is characteristic of this Sign may be less pronounced, with its natives likely to be the most artistically inclined of the three Scorpio Decans.

A subject born within the Third Decan (November 11 to November 21...also known as the Cancer Decante of Scorpio), whether male or female, is likely to inherit some of his or her mother's features. In many instances, however, this may not be nearly so evident until middle age or later. Here, nearly all parts of the body will tend toward roundness. Natives of this Decan are usually medium tall and the nose is almost always aquiline. There is also a tendency toward restlessness with this Decante and an inclination to be overly sensitive to the personal environment.

well your sun and ascendant (and the aspects to them) do play a very important role when talking about appearence. Yeah we're all mixed really. No one is one solid thing. We all have physical attributes of each sign. Sun and moon are the main part of our personalities but sun/moon/rising are what makes up our appearances. Rising is first impression though, because it's what people see at first. Like the first moments upon meeting. Not everyone realizes what they're seeing when they see it, though. Only those who really know what to look for can catch it. This impression doesn't last too long though because the other parts of us come out afterwards. I've observed this when meeting my friend at the airport last November. She told me "I see your Leo Rising" and she went on to tell me "It's not your personality. It's in your blonde hair and the whites of your eyes" She's really in tuned with astrology and knows more than I do.
