Scorpio Rising and Scorpio Moon

I'm just wondering what its like for someone to be with a person who has that rising placement and then if your a scorpio moon, how would that turn out? Would it be very intense then normally? Or is it possible to feel more secure and understood with such a person, because of your moon placement? I'm curious to know how this works...

any bit of scorp screams intense..

depends on a lot of things but yes.. it will be a strong emotional connection for sure.. not always in a good way I'd guess though because most of us are not good with our emotions

best of luck... remember, all relationships take hard work once the pheremones have worn off...

Scorpio risings are like lobsters, while scorpio moons are like deadly scorpios.
They like each other because they look alike.

Scorpio rising is a lot more impulsive than scorpio moon, extremely stubborn and no tactics. Scorpio rising admires scorpio moon’s duel ravenous-tender eyes and detective attitude.

haha, I think its a cancer, scorpio, capricorn, and virgo thing to fix any spelling errors, so I understand that 100%, it drives me nuts too lol.

Anyway, you are so right about them being more impulsive, not as much tact, the stubborn nature being 10x's more, and that whole looking alike thing, lol almost like they have a bigger ego and that need to look at someone like they are looking into a mirror everytime lol.

I have 8 or 9 friends/family in my circle with scorpio rising, but w different sun/moons
and impulsivity and high-rectivity are common reoccuring trait I see.
These risings are also more extrovert in their communication and expression, even when not provoked.

Scorp moons are the opposite. Inner feelings (be they good or bad) are rarely revealed openly
and if so it is much more 1 on 1, not a pubilc display.
The current of energy they communicate with is a stronger, deeper current-like a tsunami- and you dont see it til it's breaking land...and/or comming for you...

My dad is scorpio moon/rising and there are things I doubt he will ever reveal to anyone. ever.
And he and I are very close, his form of 'confiding' in me (someone he trusts)
is acknowledging that there are things he will never reveal to anyone.
To outsiders, he acknowledged no secrets.
I dont think anyone hold more secrets than scorpio moon.

  • Double whammy !!!!

    Sat, June 20, 2009 - 1:43 AM

    Hi!!!
I was born a Virgo with Scorpio rising and I do have Pluto opposition Moon (like Judy Hall says, is an Scorpio Moon)...

I really liked your description about Scorpio Moon. Sounds like the story of my life!!!
Emotions rise from your guts, your mind can't find peace.

Lately Ive been studying astrology in order to control myself (control is sooo Plutonian)
so when I cant bear my emotions I just write. And write. And write... I'm actually writing short stories about astrology aspects.

And I've always loved that Garbage song The World is Not Enough, and not surprisingly, the singer Shirley Manson has Moon trine Pluto (also an Scorpio Moon)...

    My best regards!!!

i dont unerstand on what way is scorpio rising impulsive. The scorpio risings that i know dont rush into things. And i have always admired heir careful, measured ways. To me they seem to think things through before they act. Me - im impulsive, and i rush into things because having mars, moon, uranus conjunction is like being on speed and acid at same time.

Some emotions are like built-up lava in volcano –can’t be held back! Some other forces—like moon in Scorpio or a rope/chain—might help restraining someone with this hormone surge from doing screwy things. I can’t speak for all Scorpio rising though….
How do scorpio mooners control this lava? lava or poison for scorpio mooners??

In moderate situations, I notice waterbearer with scorpio rising appears extra jolly and gregarious when caught in emotional strain, whereas fish/crab with this aspect swims in cold and quiet bile. In either case, no one notices we are in trouble.

I was imagining a Scorpio rising and a Scorpio mooner brothers being locked in a room. If their mother is in danger, the Scorpio rising keeps throwing his body against the door, trying to destroy it (he might be aware that it is useless but he can’t stop!), while the Scorpio mooner sits there contemplating a strategy to get out and save the mother!

            Not a bad description, MIKI!

That kind of sounds like me...But I can't be sure...It's hard to view my Scorpio rising and moon and separately. I think I'm most likely to be "throwing his body against the door, trying to destroy it " but look for another clever strategy if the first method is hopeless...

Yeah i cant act reserved, cool, controled in some situations, but i dont control my vulcano eruptions.Thats impossible for me. If i didnt express such emotions i think they would eat my inside, they would set my internal organs on fire. Those emotional eruptions are so intense, they make my whole body hurt, and it takes time to recover from it.
I think it depends on other aspects ,etc, but im pretty sure all scorpio moons are prone to extreme emotional display, under specific circumstances of course

Its probably the ones with a sun or moon in air of fire signs that make them more impulsive.

This is a Capricorn Sun with a Scorpio rising, which should make him a double double whammy but he is pretty expressive. See for yourself.

Jim Carrey on a guided tour of Toronto on the make:
          www.youtube.com/watch

In my opinion, anything in Scorpio makes one perceptive (except possibly when the sun is also in Cancer ; ) where it is driven emotionally blind due to an overload of water).

Jim Carrey's moon is in Gemini.

I was thinking about the difference among all these impulsiveness (put aside the volcano image, which might fit any fire sun, Scorpio rising and moon):
I think fire sun is impulsive in a different way from Scorpio rising. I could see a marching, roaring ram or lion, shouting ferociously, when enemy is in the territory. Darting out faster than others, fighting with full strength.

Scorpio rising impulsiveness is marked by its quiet persistence, usually with repetitiveness and persistence (whether it works or not.) A fire sun might be the first to start destroying the door, but Scorpio rising might still be doing that when everyone else quits.....I donno... And I see fire sun as positive energy whereas Scorpio rising might not necessarily be so.

Scorpio mooner explosiveness is like earthquake: normally contained, but when erupting it destroys everything in vicinity—usually deadly psychological damage I suppose.

And yes, the impulsiveness and emotional display vary depending on other aspects.

Air sun, especially Libra, is fluent in thought and verbal expression. They are quick and impulsive in that area ( btw Rimbault has Libra sun, moon, rising?) I think in normal circumstances, Scorpio rising don’t express themselves impulsively; it (scorpio rising regardless of other aspects) is more driven by some hormone surge, and it wouldn’t stop the action until the problem is solved. I can’t speak for all Scorpio rising though…. but a waterbearer with scorpio rising kept doing screwy thing for over 2 years. Sometimes you just wanna say to them, “stop it, please stop it!!!”

Sorry for going off the topic..

I got thrown off by the change of title of this thread. This was meant for the humour thread but then maybe it is for both.

There is little about dynasty with moons or suns in traditional astro. It is more of a house thing when the ascendant is concerned. The rising sign is even considered a mask. My bet is that the moon or sun placement would probably accentuate the rising sign in the person.
I have only known one Scorpio rising that I know of and she was very cautious and deliberate in facing the outside wold but then she had to as she was born and raised in early upsetting and unsafe situations.

This was an Aries Sun but even with that placement, she could not be defined as impulsive except one time when she tried to fight a doorman twice her size and was promptly bounced out of the door.
She was a martial artist but small and he guy simply juggled with her before depositing her on the street quite unceremoniously.
Her ego was badly bruised and she plotted, in her mind, retaliation for many years. This is a masculine lesbian with sensitive issues as how men perceive her.

I have read that a Scorpio Rising makes a person fearful. Maybe it also brings Scorpionic situations into the person's life, especially in the early years (I am coming up with the supposition).

As for fire signs, medieval armies were reputedly led by Aries warriors for the assault but the back of the army was manned with the Scorpios (water) in reserve for the final onslaught and possibly once the Aries had been killed.

Well, like I said, Im trying to control myself, but sometimes it gets sooo difficult.

I spent a great time yesterday and today with a tender Pisces man, everything was going fine, suddenly I got angry with him for a stupid thing and though he did the best he could to make me laugh and to kiss me, I just got angrier... volcanic emotions, yeah.

And then I got jealous when he received a phone call... and I couldn't control myself (damn CONTROL!!!!)

I got into my house very angry and dissapointed... with myself. I never wanted to spoil that relationship. An astrologer once told me that I was "in love" with conflict, that I feel uneasy when everything is going OK.

Again, the main theme is (was) control. I need some meditation. And I need to call that Pisces man and apologize ;)

                My best regards!

I did answer, alas a few too many times and I even started a Google research on the moon rising synastry because the question was new.

Here is what I answered above:

"There is little about rising sign synastry with moons or suns in traditional astro. It is more of a houses issue when the ascendant is concerned. The rising sign is even simply considered a mask at times. My bet is that the moon or sun placement would probably accentuate the rising sign in the person. "

I would now add that as a rule, people of the same sign like each other and tend to congregate so it would probably make it a plus.
Your moon, being in the other person's first house or close to the ascendant - you have to check this exactly would probably make you a resonant woman figure of the wife or mother type, giving it archetypal overtones if the person is not very aware.
It could become a problem if the person is blind and project his problems and blindness into you - I am troubleshooting a possible problem. It depends on the rest of the chart.
Oh, and now I remember of an Aquarian guy with this rising picking deeply Scorpionic women, not realizing why and blaming them.
Unconscious Scorpio acting up is not very pretty and owning one's stuff take courage.
One must really be aware in life and in this culture, many simply aren't.
      Maybe you both are.
      This was just a scenario.

In love, there are similarities issues that makes us feel received and understood without having to explain ourselves and that is in my perception how Scorpio people work in real life.
There are also complementary issues that attract us for wholeness, sometimes in spite of ourselves, as we are simply attracted to people who are different but complementary. It is one of the strongest pull in the universe.

I would say that the Scorpio Rising and Scorpio Moon convergence is a good solidifying omen. You must now check the rest of the chart for balance and growth potential.

What I meant was that you did post about the signs, just that it had nothing to do with how scorpio moons or scorpio risings are when they interact with one another. For instance, when a female scorpio rising had to deal with a male scorpio moon, how would that turn out? Would it be explosive? or would it be beyond what anyone could comprehend?
    • Re: Scorpio Rising and Scorpio Moon

      Mon, June 22, 2009 - 10:09 PM

I got the point and I apologize, truly.
I've wrote some posts at *Pluto Moon* tribe.

Like I said, I loved your Scorpio Moon description: "until the moment I understood my place in the family".

what, would you say, is "your place in the family"? Is an interesting theme and I'd appreciate if you elaborate something about this.

Sometimes I feel like my family's "guardian", the person who is (by the moment) in her room, just waiting for a desaster or a tragedy to happen so I could try to put some order and strength (my family members always say that I'm the strongest, so much that I started to feel it).

They've never seen me depressed, or crying. Of course I get depressed sometimes, but I guess my Scorpio rising makes me secretive. And maybe, maybe, my Pluto opposition Moon makes me stronger than my sister and brother, who got Pluto trine or conjunction Moon.

I must say that I was born in a very violent family and when things starts to blow up and everybody starts to cry and scream, I'm the person who, without showing any emotion, calls the police.

But here I am, talking about myself...
And maybe we want to know more about you.

      My best regards!!!

Well this isn't about oneself here for discussion, its more along the lines about scorpio moons interacting with people that have scorpio rising and the way they deal with one another.

I mean its easy to talk about your moon/rising placement for scorpio, anyone of us can do that, but to talk openly discuss the physical interaction of a person with a scorpio moon and then a different person with a scorpio ascendent, makes for interesting theories and new information for everyone to learn about these signs and the placements they have....

well, I have scorpio rising and moon... and they hate each other but will live as they have no choice.
They constantly plot to destroy the world, think of ways to kill the Aquarian sun of mine, and seek trouble.

They are both stubborn so I never know whether to get roast beef or smoked beef, that I have to do inny-meeny-miny-mo to choose.

They are also the reason why I am more than pleasingly plump, have these eyes that apparently freak people out, and make people hate me.

I am currently in a relationship with someone who has this placement. Leo Sun, Scorpio Rising, Scorpio Moon. We are one in the same. Polar opposites, yet so very much alike. I am Aqua Sun, Scorpio Rising, Vedic Scorpio Moon. Even our Draconic placements are very much the same. Our relationship is quite intense and I think that we intrigue each other on many levels. We have a deep understanding for one another, but at times we both need to unclench and remember that we both exude a lot of intense attributes.

      Ethan -

Interestingly, I have a solid friendship and what seems to be a permanent, mutual - yet unfulfillable - magnetic attraction (to the point of having a 'past life' sense about it all) with someone also with a Leo Sun/Scorpio Ascendant/Scorpio Moon. It's a fascinating, if sometimes frustrating, connection, and even though we don't see each other or keep in touch all the time, she's in my head a lot and we seem to often think of each other out of the blue at the same time and get in contact. It's taken me a lot of personal growth and development to be able to address it in a mature way and I feel as if I still am sort of figuring it out and will be for a long time to come.

I do notice that I tend to have pretty strong, immediate connections with Scorpio Rising folks. Often a lot of attraction. I think this is more frequently the case with Scorpio Rising, for me, than with people with any other Scorpio placement. Though Leo/Scorpio combos anywhere in the chart really slay me, in general (my girlfriend even has a Leo Venus/Scorpio Mars).

It feels pretty crazy to have your lunar qualities connect with some of the most external components of someone else's chart, which is the case with Moon/AC connections. I'm really interested in meeting Scorpio Rising people - that initial impact can be nuts.

i have this too...scorpio rising and moon conjunct pluto in scorpio...well, it makes my mood more obvious i think...it makes it easier to show my emotions...like wen i say something true, people will believe it cause they know im not kidding...haha...like if i make a threat to somebody, they will know im not kidding...i find it hard to pretend with this placement...i just noticed a little something, im a pretty attractive girl, and wen i was back in school, no guy approached me.even if i go into a bar alone, hot and pretty girl alone, nobody will approach me. like i look much better than my friends buy they get approached..wen i transferred to my parent's house and started working, i noticed i get approached more, i think it was because wen i was in school, i felt threatened by people thus i give the "stay away from me" vibe, wen i was working, im much more comfortable, thus lowering my guard, and people started saying hi to me or asking me to go out with them etc.

i dont know if its anything....with big decisions, im quite careful....but im a litle bit impulsive.....like wen my scorpio moon needs something, it needs to get done fast, as soon as possible. like before wen i was not living in my parents house, wen im sad i do crazy and dangerous stuff, just because i want to remove my feelings of loneliness. i dont know, its a combination of both for me, im both deliberate and impulsive, if thats possible..haha
